The iconic Cottingley Fairy photographs were taken by two young cousins, Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths in their garden, in Cottingley, 1917. Prints of the photos were given to Edward Gardner, who shared them with Arthur Conan Doyle. Published in Strand Magazine in 1920, accompanied with an article by Doyle entitled "An epoch-making event - Fairies photographed". Also include Gardner's was “Fairy Photographs: Report”.

Includes a related newspaper clipping of The Psychic Research Group's visit to Cottingley. Dust jacket in protective sleeve, small loss to top left corner, closed tear to bottom right, internally clean and bright. A very good copy.
