Hodson’s first published work, writings of his experiences with nature spirits in Northern England during the early 1920’s, covering Preston, Blackpool, Cottingley and the Lake District. As well as some later encounters in Switzerland.

Lovely faery related inserts by a previous owner can be found inside; one single sheet with two sides of writing detailing an encounter with an Oak Tree, The Psychic Tree and a Rainbow, two artworks of mythological scenes, a clipping of the poem The Fountain by Katharine Tynan stuck to the rear-end paper, a small-verse in pen that has been inscribed to the rear inside board, and a quote written on the title page by the previous owner. Also, one 4pp transcription of part of Sister Songs, a poem by Francis Thompson. A truly wonderful collection of additional material.
