Deluxe edition signed by Whistler on the half-title page. 470 pages. 10 full-page b&w illustrations with many others throughout the text. Boards marked with a small stain to the rear, spine faded, corners gently bumped, some marks to gilt edges, light internal foxing but contents remain clean and binding firm. Overall a very good, attractive copy. 


A wonderful edition of this collection of fairy tales by Hans Christian Anderson, signed and illustrated by British artist Rex Whistler, who died in Normandy during World War II.
