Milepost, 1995.

'It is incredible that the traditional scarecrow should survive amid the highly advanced technology of farming today. These primitive relics of our medieval ancestors linger on in muddy isolation. As discovered in the landscape, these are not from the anaesthetised world of the craft fair; but the direct descendants of the ancient spectres which have haunted the landscape for centuries.’
