The Life and Prophecies of Ursula Southeil, better known as Mother Shipton. Carefully collected and compiled for Dropping Well Estate Ltd., The Lodge, High Bridge, Knaresborough, Yorkshire.

Mother Shipton of Yorkshire (Ursula Southeil c.1488–1561) has been described as a soothsayer, prophetess and a witch. She is most associated with a cave in Knaresborough which has a petrifying well; items hung in its waters become encrusted with a layer of limestone, also linked to the Rollright stone circle.
